The students of all the partner schools have prepared
three Multimedia presentations in English for the first short term meeting on
February 27- March 6, 2017 in Italy. In October-December, 2016 the
students were busy making different Multimedia presentations. Firstly, a competition was organized
in all the five partner schools for making a presentation “Our school”.
Consequently, the best presentation introducing their school was chosen in
each. Another multimedia presentation the students had to prepare was
“Education System in our Country”. In organized competitions the best
presentations were chosen to be shown during the meeting in Italy. The third
presentation students of each school were asked to make was “Magic Nooks of our
Country”. The students of all the partner
schools prepared presentations of the most outstanding nooks in their country.
Now all are waiting with great anticipation and responsibility to watch others’
and also to make their own presentations during the meeting in Italy. They will
help all the members of the meeting to get better acquainted with each other,
with our schools and countries.

Competition “The Magic of Christmas"
Taking part in the Project ‘‘GreenEurope‘‘ students are involved
in a number of different activities. As soon as one competition is accomplished,
another is announced. In December, 2016 the coming Christmas spirit felt by everyone
was captured by the students in all the Project partner schools and expressed on
the paper. In the competition ‘‘Magic of Christmas‘‘ the Latvian, Italian, Polish,
Slovenian and Lithuanian students created stories or even poems in English about
Christmas, its miracles and, what is more, they illustrated their litterary creation
in different techniques. Numerous illustrated literary works were exhibited at
all the Project partner schools. All the school communities had a possibility
to enjoy different festive stories and illustrations at the school exhibitions.
The most impressive works were sent to the Polish school which idea was to
involve all the students into such an activity. Currently, all the creators are
waiting for the joint publication prepared by the Polish school. Waiting for both,
the joint publication and the first short time exchange of groups of pupils in Italy
where the publication will be presented.
We Have the Project Logo!
In November, 2016 the students of all Project “GreenEurope“ partner schools took part in the competition the aim of which was to select the Project logo. The students‘ creativity was expressed in a great number of thematic colourful logos. There were exhibitions held at schools where the students‘ works were exhibited. Besides, each school selected their five best logos and sent them to the Latvian school which had a responsibility to accomplish the competition. All the 25 logos created by Polish, Slovenian, Italian, Latvian and Lithuanian students were put on the Padlet wall and each school voted giving votes for the three best in their opinion. After the votes were counted one of the logos, created by a student Alan Rynkiewicz from the Polish school, was announced as the Project logo. Congratulations!

Erasmus+: Enriching Lives, Opening Minds
Erasmus+ is
the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million
Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad. Set to last until
2020, Erasmus+ provide opportunities not only for students. Merging seven prior programmes, it has
opportunities for a wide variety of organisations and people of all ages,
helping them develop and share knowledge, cooperate for innovation and exchange
good practices which are designed to modernise and reinforce education and
training.
This autumn happy news reached
schools in different countries - they have been approved to participate in the Erasmus +
strategic partnership project "Green Europe". This is a
multilateral project, which promotes active cooperation between schools from
different countries.
The project, which
started in 2016's, will run for two years. During this period teachers with
their students from Poland – the country which supervises the
Project and Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania
and Italy will visit each other with the purpose of learning,
exploring the nature of each country. They will present problems and search together for
solutions. While residing in the partner country’s peer families and
learning in collective activities students will have excellent opportunities to
get acquainted with other cultures, broaden their horizons, improve their English
language, make new friends and interact in the virtual environment.
The Erasmus + programme provides an opportunity not only
to study in different environments, but also encourages us to become
responsible European citizens.
We wish success to all the teachers and
students involved in this project to
honestly represent their schools and
have a nice time togetger.
