Erasmus+ is
the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million
Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad. Set to last until
2020, Erasmus+ provide opportunities not only for students. Merging seven prior programmes, it has
opportunities for a wide variety of organisations and people of all ages,
helping them develop and share knowledge, cooperate for innovation and exchange
good practices which are designed to modernise and reinforce education and
training.
This autumn happy news reached
schools in different countries - they have been approved to participate in the Erasmus +
strategic partnership project "Green Europe". This is a
multilateral project, which promotes active cooperation between schools from
different countries.
The project, which
started in 2016's, will run for two years. During this period teachers with
their students from Poland – the country which supervises the
Project and Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania
and Italy will visit each other with the purpose of learning,
exploring the nature of each country. They will present problems and search together for
solutions. While residing in the partner country’s peer families and
learning in collective activities students will have excellent opportunities to
get acquainted with other cultures, broaden their horizons, improve their English
language, make new friends and interact in the virtual environment.
The Erasmus + programme provides an opportunity not only
to study in different environments, but also encourages us to become
responsible European citizens.
We wish success to all the teachers and
students involved in this project to
honestly represent their schools and
have a nice time togetger.
